Family Reunion Time
It was for the Ford/Murphy family anyway (Grandma Mae's side, for those of you just joining us). This past Saturday all of our not so long-lost relatives from California, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, and of course all over North Carolina gathered at Mom and Dad's in Raleigh, home of the original Bone Suckin' Sauce Chicken Pickin', for some real down-home food and family time. The little ones got to hear stories about relatives they never got to meet, and got to meet some they hadn't met before. We got to get a little more time in on Sunday when we gathered there once again to celebrate Father's Day. The time spent was well worthwhile. Even though my family works together, sometimes we need to just hang out at the house together to really pay attention. It was also a milestone for the kids - after a week of family vacation at Atlantic Beach, Tyler and Cameron opted to go back with Noni and G-daddy for two more days at the beach, while Anna Grace and Ailey visited family in Charleston. This freed us up to watch the Hurricanes take the Stanley Cup!!! Congrats Canes!!! If any Hurricanes players come in the office, we'll be glad to send you home with some free sauce.

Tyler's Trout
My seven year old caught a big one off of my parent's dock on the Outer Banks. I filet it and put the two filets in a plastic bag and poured a bottle of Bone Suckin' Yaki in the bag, closed it and refrigerated for about an hour. Then my wife cooked it in a pan on the stove on medium heat for just a few minutes on each side. Perfect! Tyler LOVED IT!

Grilling Tip:
Try our Bone Suckin' Sauce Yaki on your ribs for a sweet Asian flair - favorite with kids, and always a crowd-pleaser. Marinate overnight if you have the time, or 30 minutes if that's all you've got. Brush on some more Yaki as they're finishing up for a little extra flavor, or just keep some on your plate for dipping. Guaranteed to be Bone Suckin' Good!
